Registration for this event is open to registered attendees of UN Action Days.
The United Nations Summit of the Future is a pivotal event in shaping the global agenda for the years ahead.
As part of this important gathering, the NGO Pan African Women's Association (PAWA) and the Global Minority Parliamentarians Caucus held a youth-led pre-conference consultation in April 2024, with youth leaders, traditional/Indigenous leaders and members of parliament who represent minority voices.
The four-day conference resulted in an outcome document, the Black Paper, where the participants pledged their resolution to amplify minority voices during the UN Summit of the Future in Kenya (May 2024) and New York (September 2024).
This two-day side event continues amplifying the voices and perspectives of youth, Indigenous people, and minorities, whose experiences and creative expressions are often marginalised in mainstream discourse.
